The Fujitsu Services TP-X POS Platform is a new Point of Sale terminal designed to meet the demands of today’s retailer at an affordable price.

With powerful Intel® processors and supporting Windows® operating systems, the TP-X retail-hardened multi-function terminal is fully RoHS compliant with proven reliability and comes with a low total cost of ownership. In terms of the Linux operating systems Fujitsu Services has to date conducted “initial lab testing” on the SuSE 9.3 platform. This does not constitute a support commitment and any usage on the TP-X platform of Linux requires validation/approval by the application provider.

TP-X is powerful enough to support a number of applications running on one terminal to reduce your dependence on multiple systems and vendors. It is available as a stacked or dispersed terminal and supports a number of Fujitsu and OEM peripherals, all validated by Fujitsu Services to meet CE approvals.

As well as providing a complete set of quality own brand peripherals, Fujitsu Services works with “best of breed” peripheral suppliers and where applicable will expect those suppliers to provide drivers (JavaPoS and/or OPOS) for their respective peripherals. JavaPoS is largely platform independent and can exist on both Windows and Linux operating systems while OPOS is only supported on Windows ® operating systems.
