OmniLink application areas
The OmniLink software package is intended for creation of applications aimed at performing tasks of information gathering, storage, and transfer into external information system for further processing. Gathering and transfer of the information is performed using data terminals.
Tasks of data terminals and OmniLink:
- Objects, goods inventory;
- Inventory of the goods sold by weight;
- Fixed assets taking;
- Registration of goods receipts and expenditures;
- Price tags check and printing;
- Replenishment of supplies;
- Reducing of queues at cash registers in stores etc.
OmniLink functions:
OmniLink package supports the following functions:
- Composing project script for the operator’s work with data terminal;
- Embedding of data terminal interoperation functions into the MS Windows applications;
- Management of the process of information interchange between the MS Windows applications and data terminal.

Hardware requirements:
The following items are required for the operation of OmniLink:
- IBM PC/AT;
- MS Windows 2000 (NT)/XP/Vista;
- RAM 8Мb or more (recommended 16 Mb);
- 20 Мb of free disk space;
- FDD 1.44 or CD
- Data terminal running under Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Windows CE;
- The set of interface cables and communication equipment.
- Microsoft ActiveSync software should be installed on the computer supposed for use with OmniLink.
