Administrator console.
Administrator console is the check-out server interface program. It allows for centralized monitoring and control of both the check-out server services and the POS-applications running on POS-terminals.
Modular interface of the administrator console allows building up of the functionality by integrating additional components.
- POS-monitor. Displays status of all connected POS applications in real-time mode. Allows sending control instructions to a POS-application. Enables to monitor changes to the operation logs and traces of all or selected POS-applications and services. This component also allows enabling “shadow” mode of the POS-application on any POS-terminal, which duplicates cashier’s screen and receipt printer output to the administrator console.
- Reference editor. Intended for editing of the POS application reference files. Allows transfer of the modified reference records to the cash registers and complete download of the reference files.
- License monitor. Allows reviewing of the licensed services current status and adding of required licenses.
- Configuration editor. Allows centralized change of system services and POS-applications functioning parameters.
Profi-T consists of the basic and additional units. It also has various settings
- With the help of the settings the software can assume the form that corresponds to the requirements of the particular store.
- At the same time, it allows to work on POS-terminals with minimum size of RAM.
- Any software can get into challenging conditions sometimes. In case of unexpected failure the Profi-T software never requires to restore huge dumps. Any unit or reference book can be replaced by simple copying.
- The software price is one more advantage. It is much more affordable than other systems. Moreover, it does not require high-paid experts for support.
Configuration and options of network application.
There are several cash register operating modes with respect to interoperation with the check-out server:
- Network mode. Cash register operates in network mode when the network mode is set in corresponding cash register settings and network connection between the check-out server and the cash register is established. This mode is suitable for retail chains and big supermarkets with large pool of POS-terminals, when a centralized management of POS-terminals is required.
- Local mode. Cash register operates in local mode when no network connection to the check-out server is available because of network problems or of unavailability of running check-out services on the server.
- Autonomous mode. This mode is suitable for the stores where no check-out server is installed. In this case the cash register management (information update etc.) should be supported by the external software.
